Traverse City Celebrates New Housing Complex Groundbreaking

TRAVERSE CITY – The groundbreaking shovels have turned and construction is underway as Traverse City continues to expand their housing options. Work has now started on the new Trailside45 project in Traverse City. November 10th, members of the community celebrated the future of more housing options in town. TraverseCONNECT partnered with Midwest Property Development and Westwind Construction to make Trailside45 a reality. The building will have 74 units of comfortable apartment living, along with 115 parking space.
Developers say they are excited to bring more housing to a prime location.

“You’ve got the Civic Center that’s not that far away. You’ve got the TART Trail that’s literally right next door,” says Peter Oleszczuk, Vice President of Midwest Property Development. “You’re on the main artery of Garfield that gets you to everywhere you need to be, either out of town or bypassing town if you need to, and then just a short walk or bike ride away you’re in downtown Traverse City with all the restaurants and shops.”

Developers hope to have the housing complex open by 2018.
